EARLY BIRD WATCHING TOUR Hosting over 850 species of native and migratory birds, Costa Rica is an undeniably great place to go birding. Rincon de la Vieja's rainforest and volcanoes boast many colors, interesting textures and enticing fragrances. You'll discover a magical mysterious place that is among Costa Rica's most diverse national parks for ecology. It is a convenient travel destination for tourists staying at the beach resorts near Liberia, Guanacaste, like Papagayo, Hermaso, El Coco, Ocotal, Flamingo and Tamarindo. Those staying around Upala, Alejuela, La Cruz and Nicaragua are particularly close. In fact, Rincon de la Vieja is Guanacaste's most popular travel destination for day-visits. But staying such a short time does not do it justice. Even when compared to the more popular Arenal Volcano, the Rincon de la Vieja volcano is regarded as being more mesmerizing and containing more natural wonders and eco-adventure tours to experience. This is a hiking tour at the foothills of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano where you get in touch with the earth walking while surrounded by a transitional dry forest, watching different bird species and mammals. During the hiking you are able to see many different types of trees, some small water streams, rocks and experience the sulfur smell of the fumaroles. You will have an outstanding view of the volcano when you get out of the forest. Not far away you will get to the last attraction of this tour, a small active crater with white lava.
